Each single dose (0.5 ml) of reconstituted Bio PoxTM vaccine contains:

• ?2000 plaque forming units (PFU) of live attenuated Varicella virus (OKA strain) propagated in MRC-5 human diploid cell culture.
• Excipients: KH2PO4 – 0.25 mg, K2HPO4 – 0.6 mg, L-monosodium glutamate – 0.4 mg, EDTA – 1 mg, Sucrose – 37.5 mg, Human Normal Albumin – 5 mg, Polygeline (Haemaccel(R)) – 5 mg.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3353″ img_size=”24×24″][vc_column_text]DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

• Reconstitute Bio PoxTM with the entire content of the vaccine diluent (sterile water for injection I.P.) provided with the vaccine. Shake gently for full reconstitution. Each dose (0.5ml) shall be injected immediately after reconstitution by subcutaneous route. Alcohol or other disinfecting agent must be allowed to evaporate from the site of injection before immunization as they may inactivate the vaccine.
• Bio PoxTM is recommended for active immunization of healthy subjects of 1 to 12 years of age.
• IAP (Indian Academy of Pediatrics), recommends1 1st dose at 15 months or older, 2nd dose at 4-6 years (can be given 3 months after 1st dose). Catch-up vaccination in children, below 13 years – 2 doses 3 months apart, 13 years or more – 2 doses at 4-8 weeks apart.
• As per WHO position paper2 on varicella vaccine, two doses induce higher effectiveness and should therefore be recommended in countries where the programmatic goal is, in addition to decreasing mortality and severe morbidity, to further reduce the number of cases and outbreaks.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3346″ img_size=”24×24″][vc_column_text]CONTRA-INDICATIONS

• Vaccination is contra-indicated during pregnancy and pregnancy should be delayed for 4 weeks after vaccination. Termination of pregnancy is not indicated if vaccination was carried out inadvertently during pregnancy.
• Ongoing acute or chronic illness like fever, severe infection, persistent diarrhoea, vomiting e.t.c.
• Immuno deficient status/immuno suppressive therapy.
• There is no data regarding use in nursing women.
• Hypersensitivity to any component of the vaccine.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row el_class=”product-box”][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3352″ img_size=”24×24″][vc_column_text]POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

• Reaction to vaccination generally consists of localized injection site reaction (pain, swelling, redness) and systemic reaction (fever, skin rash, headache, fatigue, vomiting, cough) which are generally relieved spontaneously after one or two days.
• Interspersed rash or blebs may appear to few recipients probably within two weeks after vaccination. No special treatment is necessary. Symptomatic treatment may be helpful in case of need.
• As with any vaccine, there is a possibility that large scale use of the vaccine could reveal adverse reactions not observed in clinical trial.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3353″ img_size=”24×24″][vc_column_text]STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Store between +2° to +8°C and protect from light. The shelf life of the vaccine is 2 years, if stored at recommended storage conditions. The lyophilized vaccine is not affected by freezing, stability is even better at lower temperatures.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”3346″ img_size=”24×24″][vc_column_text]PRESENTATION

Single dose freeze dried vaccine, vaccine diluent (sterile water for injection I.P.) and disposable syringe as combipack.

Inactivated (Cell Culture)
(Pre Exposure and Post Bite Use)
Brand Name: Rabies Vet™

DESCRIPTION :

Rabies is a fatal neurological disease of canines specially dogs, wolves, jackals, mongoose, etc. It is caused by Rabies virus.

The incubation period varies from a few days to several months (usually 5-40 days) depending on the amount of virus injected during bite and nearness to brain & major nerve trunks etc. The disease takes the toll of its prey in almost 100% cases usually within 5-10 days of appearance of clinical symptoms. Rabies is transmitted by bites of rabid dogs and other canines to all domesticated animals which in most cases results in deaths if not treated.

The animals affected with Rabies-called rabid animals become either very violent or dumb. They get excited at slight disturbance & bite wooden, stony objects and any animal including man.

Rabies Vet™ has been prepared by inactivating Rabies virus (Pitman Moore strain) grown in VERO cell culture, with ß-propiolactone. It is available in liquid form adjuvanted with aluminium hydroxide gel. It meets Standards for rabies vaccine as per Indian Pharmacopoeia

Clostridium Perfringens Vaccine, Inactivated I.P. (Type D, Enterotoxaemia vaccine)

[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1512431460697{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ el_class=”block1″][vc_column_text]

Enterotoxaemia disease is usually seen in animals of one to three months age, although it can affect them at any age. This disease is mostly observed in the months of May, June & July. The disease is more often observed when the animals graze in the fields of pea, barley and corn or they are given high grain ration with less volume of leafy material to graze. It can cause death in 10-20% animals. The affected animals are difficult to treat; therefore, it is necessary to vaccinate animals before the disease strikes them.
The flock of diseased animals should be given no feed for 2 days. Then give small volumes of grass for grazing increasing gradually. Grains and grazing in post harvest fields should be avoided.

DESCRIPTION:

The vaccine contains Toxoid & Bacterin of Clostridium perfringens Type ‘D’ adjuvanted with Aluminium Hydroxide Gel. Each dose contains CFU of inactivated organisms of Clostridium perfringens Type ‘D’. This vaccine is used for providing prophylactic protection against Enterotoxaemia disease in sheep & goats, which is caused by toxins of Clostridium perfringens Type ‘D’.

Black Quarter Vaccine, Inactivated, I.P.

[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1512431460697{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”][vc_column width=”1/2″ el_class=”block1″][vc_column_text]

Aluminium Hydroxide Gel Adjuvanted

Black Quarter is a generalized infection of cattle caused by Clostridium chauvoei. It is characterized by emphysematous swelling of the muscles especially those of gluteal region. The incubation period is 1-5 days. The onset is sudden. The initial symptom is lameness with or without fever. Swellings at first are small, hot & painful. They may develop in the muscles of shoulder, hip, chest, back & flank. In a few hours, the swellings become extensive & crepitating.

The general symptoms are complete anorexia, marked prostration, muscular tremors, congested mucosa, dyspnoea, rapid pulse & high fever. The death occurs within 12-48 hours. On incision of affected swollen part infiltration with discoloured serum with gas is found. This gives typical sweetish-sour smell. The muscles are emphysematous, dark or black, friable giving a spongy character.

This vaccine is a suspension of formalin-killed Clostridium chauvoei  -49 (IVRI Strain) adjuvanted with Aluminium hydroxide gel.
